Alan Kidson
President

Founder and CEO of German Car Repair, Alan has a genuine passion for German cars. He began his career in 1978 as an apprentice working for a Mercedes-Benz dealer in Durban, South Africa. In 1979, he transferred to Forsdicks BMW in Durban, and completed a five-year apprenticeship with honors in only three years. In 1986, on the strength of his background and factory-accredited qualifications, he was hired by an Atlanta BMW dealer to train their technicians. Alan's BMW Factory training, both in South Africa and the United States, has provided him with a wealth of product knowledge and experience. His commitment to excellence is evident in the quality of service experienced by customers of German Car Repair, Inc.

Yvette Kidson
Vice President

Along with Alan, Yvette also immigrated to the United States from South Africa in 1986, where she had been Secretary to the Credit Analyst at the regional office of a major Durban banking organization. Shortly after arriving in the United States, she acquired an administrative position at a Norcross-based executive suites company, assisting professionals in various industries, including attorneys, a job-search firm, and a construction company. In January of 2003, Yvette assumed responsibilities as CFO and Administrator at German Car Repair. She manages all financial and administrative assignments for GCR; and ensures the smooth day-to-day office operations with her acute attention to detail. Together with Alan, she is committed to making certain our customers’ service needs are met promptly and correctly.

Marc Delifer
Service Operations Manager

Marc began his automotive career in 2014, applying his talents as a jack of all trades at the top volume BMW dealer in the United States. Joining German Car Repair as a Service Consultant in August of 2016, he quickly demonstrated his commitment to deliver superior service to customers and staff alike. In February of 2025, Marc was promoted to Service Operations Manager, and remains eager as ever to show our clients why GCR is the facility of choice for your fine German automobile.

Chase Kuech
Service Consultant

Chase began his automotive career in 2009 as a salesman for several GM brands. In the summer of 2011, he moved to the luxury market, spending the next 6 years with Penske BMW. After a brief stint with Lexus, Chase returned to European brands, driving his own BMWs for over a decade, and sharing his passion with fellow German car enthusiasts. Chase looks forward to welcoming you to German Car Repair, and guiding you through your service experience.

Colin Anderson
Service Consultant

Colin’s career in the automotive field began in Wisconsin, where he worked in independent repair shops as a trainee technician. After relocating to Georgia, the European car scene ignited his passion for fine automobiles, inspiring him to broaden his knowledge and experience working on German cars both as a technician, and a service consultant. Colin Joined GCR in September of 2024, becoming a valuable asset to our team with his impeccable work ethic and dedication to superior customer service.

Michael Gatlin
Audi Master Guild Technician

Michael joined the German Car Repair staff in April 2016. He began his career with Audi in 1998, becoming an Audi Master Guild Technician and Audi Diagnostic Technician. Michael's specialties include electrical diagnosis, high voltage (hybrid) systems, transmissions, and engine repair. He is also certified in Audi R8 service. Michael takes pride in repairing your car the right way the first time, making him the perfect addition to our team.

Mike Miller
Mercedes Benz Master Guild Technician

The roots of Mike's automotive career reach all the way back to his family's garage in Arkansas, where he worked after obtaining a vocational degree in 1976. Keenly interested in the Mercedes Benz marque, he moved on to independent Mercedes repair shops in Miami and Chicago, then to a position with RBM of Atlanta in 1992. Mike has completed more than 100 Mercedes Benz factory training classes, and is now nearing his 20th year as a certified Mercedes Benz Master Guild Technician.

Michael Spooner
BMW Master Technician

Michael joined the German Car Repair team in December 2016. His automotive career began in 1988, as a BMW program trainee at Charles Evans BMW in Duluth, GA, where he first met Alan Kidson. Michael quickly achieved the rank of BMW Master Technician, and continued to add to his knowledge base while working at dealers in Atlanta and in Miami, Florida. Michael specializes in diagnostics and all manner of engine repairs and replacements. He also has a unique affinity for convertible tops. Michael's hallmark is his longstanding commitment to providing clients the best service for their vehicles. He has built a loyal following among BMW owners thanks to his extensive experience and dedication to excellence.

Andrew Thomas
BMW Master Technician

Andrew started working on cars in his early teens, and has never stopped. Propelled by his high school shop classes, he started working full-time in the auto industry when he was 18, going on to complete an Automotive Service program at technical school. In 2003, Andrew enrolled in the BMW Service Technician Education Program, racking up more than 800 hours of training. While working in the service department at BMW of Roswell, he continued his training to become a certified BMW Master Technician, adding a note of distinction to his 20 years of automotive experience.

Reiken Spooner
Technician Trainee

Growing up in an enthusiast household headed by a BMW Master Technician, Reiken has been around cars his entire life. His father and mentor, GCR's own Michael Spooner, inspired Reikens’s passion for cars, and the drive to learn all he can about them. Reiken got an early start in his formal automotive career, working full-time at a local Mercedes dealer at the age of 16. In the years since, he has owned and restored multiple BMW’s of his own. Reiken is our newest and youngest technician, training in Porsche, Audi, Volkswagen, and BMW, with the Master Technicians at German Car Repair.
